The disease can be classified as squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Squamous cell carcinoma originates in the lining of the cervix, while adenocarcinoma arises in cervical cells. Cervical cancer is caused due to the infection of HPV. There are no signs and symptoms to identify the early stages of cervical cancer, but it can be identified through regular check-ups.
